Search engines have changed the way companies do business, especially the way they handle their marketing. Securing a spot on the front page of Google search results can literally make or break a business. But as important as this is, very few people know how the search algorithms work and the information that has come out on the topic has been less than reliable. That is until Rand Fishkin hit the scene. The “Wizard of Moz” pulled back the curtain on the mysterious art of SEO through his clear and easy to understand writing and videos.
Rand began his career in web development before consulting on usability issues in the late 90s. In 2002, he began to explore the blossoming field of search engine marketing. Initially learning through forums, Rand soon began conducting his own research and making a name for himself in the field. Since then, his name is now synonymous with SEM and his company, Moz, has grown to be a leader in the digital marketing space. Rand’s knowledge and insights have made him an in demand guest speaker at some of the world’s most influential companies like Google, Facebook and Microsoft. He’s even given presentations along with his Inbound.org cofounder Dharmesh Shah before the United Nations, Standord University, NPR and YCombinator to name a few.
On December 9th, 2016 at 12:00 PM (PST), we’ll sit down with Rand to talk about how he built an SEO empire, ways companies can build meaningful connections with amplifiers, and the power of high value content.
